When it comes to washing lines, the poles that hold them up are just as important as the line itself. Metal line posts are a popular option due to their strength and durability, but there are two main styles to choose from: modern and traditional. Let's take a closer look at the differences between the two.
Modern Metal Line Posts - Modern washing line posts are designed with clean lines and a minimalist aesthetic. They generally are made from or include stainless steel, which provides a sleek and modern look. These posts typically have a smooth finish and come in a variety of colours, so you can choose one that matches your garden.
Our Modern Style Washing Poles looks great in gardens with minimalistic planters, white rendered walls or horizontal slatted fencing, rectangular or square patches of grass or astroturf and LED lighting.
Traditional Metal Line Posts - Traditional steel line posts have a classic design and are typically made of galvanized steel, with the option for powdercoating in black. They often have decorative details, such as acorn finials or fleur de lys railheads, which give them a more ornate appearance.
Traditional washing line poles look best in busier gardens, those bursting with plants and seating, parasols and water fountains.
So, which type of line post is right for you? Ultimately, the decision comes down to personal preference and the specific needs of your garden design. If you prefer a modern look and want something that is easy to install and maintain, a modern metal line post may be the right choice for you. However, if you want a more traditional look and need something that can withstand heavy loads and strong winds, a traditional metal line post may be the better option.
In conclusion, both our modern and traditional metal line posts have their unique advantages and drawbacks. It's important to consider your personal style and the specific needs of your garden when choosing a washing line pole. With the right choice, you can enjoy a sturdy and reliable washing line for years to come!
