Meet the Heavy-Duty Y-Shaped Clothes Line Pole
If you are a busy parent or part of a large household, you know the "Laundry Mountain" is real. Finding enough space—and a pole strong enough to hold it all—can be a constant battle in the UK.
At The Washing Line Pole Shop, we've heard your requests for a more robust, high-capacity solution. That's why we are thrilled to introduce our newest product: The Heavy-Duty Y-Shaped Multi-Line Washing Line Pole.
Why the "Y" Shape is the Ultimate Solution for Large Families
Most standard poles are designed for a single line. For a family of four or more, that usually means a garden crisscrossed with temporary lines or a flimsy rotary dryer that sags under the weight of wet towels.
Our new Y-shaped design changes the game by allowing you to run six parallel washing lines from a single, rock-solid fixture. This design maximizes your garden space, allowing you to air multiple loads of laundry and heavy bedding simultaneously.
Built for the British Climate
We don't do "flimsy." To handle the tension of six lines, this pole is engineered with:
- Thicker Steel: Constructed from 48mm wide durable steel, it's built to resist bending and sagging, even when fully loaded with heavy, wet denim or duvets.
- Superior Finish: Every pole comes hot-dip galvanized as standard to prevent rust. For those looking for a specific aesthetic, we also offer polyester powder-coating in Black, Dark Green, White, or Anthracite Grey.
- British Craftsmanship: Like our other signature products, these are proudly manufactured in the UK and come with a 10-year product warranty for total peace of mind.
Installation & Pro-Tips
Because this pole is designed for serious weight, it requires a permanent setup.
- No Socket Needed: Unlike standard poles, this heavy-duty version uses a larger tube diameter to support the extra lines. It should be installed at least 500mm deep directly into the ground and set with concrete.
- Spacing: We recommend a maximum spacing of 6 metres between poles to maintain the best line tension.
- The "Line Prop" Secret: For longer spans or very heavy loads, we always recommend using a line prop to keep your laundry off the grass and reduce stress on the pole and wires.
How to Get Yours
Because these poles are heavy-duty and built to order, they typically have a lead time of 2–3 weeks. This ensures every weld is perfect and the finish is flawless before it reaches your garden.
